Dang, Trev, I just saw this! Glad you're still here with us!

Take it easy for a while, and don't ignore any "minor" symptoms like headaches, nausea, etc. Concussions are nothing to fool around with or blow-off.

Best Wishes on a speedy recovery, and good luck getting the bike fixed.

I've seen a few friends of mine curious about buying bikes, I always direct them to threads like this and then explain the pain of road rash by saying "imagine a belt sander, with about 15 grit sand paper going on full blast on your arms and legs, then add on to that the most pain you've ever felt, and you'll sort of get it"

I've never had much for road rash, but from what I hear it and the possible skin grafts hurt like torture

I always say gear up but it is a personal choice. I went down once ( on the street) granted not real hard but not slow either with leathers, full gear and didn't have anything but some soreness. I have been down real hard on the dirt plenty of times but I also wore riding gear, chest protector, etc. I like to ride and will always ride but yeah you take a chance with pair of shorts and a tank top and even better the next state over..shorts/tank top and no helmet , see that all summer.

I'm a gear nut myself. I wouldnt even ride in the summer around here, it's too **** hot. My riding season would be September - April with maybe about 3 weeks in the middle of the winter out of it.

Yea I am here, I have some pictures of the bike, give me a few. Insurance picked the cost of the bike, I DID buy the totaled bike, I may us the money to return it to the street demon it was and buy a second bike(1000) that isn't modded as extreme as this one.

It WILL live again, sad to see a bike with 4XXX miles on it in this shape. The bike was FLAWLESS before this. You can see how the car bike slid under the car and crushed the tank and broke the bars.

But its in the garage and coming back strong...

After some close looking, the plastics, tank, front end will get pulled and I hope the frame is a perfect as it looks(Not a ding, dent or scratch) and can build from that.

Yeah, if the frame and engine are good, you might have something good there.

After fighting to find neutral and bypassing the clutch it cracked right up, came up too temp and idled like it was perfect, some oil on start up but I assume it was from getting dumped on it's side, cleared right up.

Ah, that build is a ways away, I have other priorities at this point. The bike is here and safe, I hold the title so no big rush since I won't have it ready for a better part of the summer anyway. But when the time does come, it'll be here.
