Would anybody here that possibly has an Alienware system know if in fact that it is Dell under another name ? I was thinking of getting something then I had seen a Dell Finacial in the reading info. wasn't too keen on the Dell support. Thank-You for taking your time to read this and offer any info. Ed

 

Don't know anything about Alienware but I can tell you my HP laptop has been a diehard machine for sure.

 

Get an HP 9700 series with an 8400 0r 8600 video card.
It will do what you want and shouldn't need their good support.
I've had an HP since XP came out and it has NEVER had a problem.
(Not saying they are problem free, but the odds are against problems).

 

Dude, I got a Dell. And then another one, and another one...I now have 4 (2 laptops and 2 workstations) in the past 4 years. Customer service is what number you call. My sales guy gave me the "real" customer service number and I talk English to techs that know their stuff. I'll try and get the info tomorrow and PM you with my salesman and he will take care of you. I got a deal on a laptop about a month ago and it was under $1400 to the door. I'll PM you the specs as well.

 

Love my Dells. A laptop and a PC(gotta keep the wife off my laptop).
