Its a rental? That is even better! That thing will go anywhere. Rentals will do what normal vehicles would never dare to try.

Thanks for asking Dave. It is an ugly situation. Because the surgery to remove the broken screw (from the 5/2/11 surgery to fix the fracture) & reconstruct my foot would be so instrusive, the plan is to immobilize it and do a wait-and-see. Isn't that great?!?

I go back on 12/2/11 for an evaluation. it if looks to be healing on its own then we leave it alone (for how much longer I don't know). If it isn't healing (and so far it is not), then I'll have the reconstructive surgery in late December, and the recovery from that will be 4 to 6 months they say.

So it's a REALLY good thing I jettisoned my 2011 'vert 6MT and got my 2012 6AT coupe. It's difficult getting in and out of it with a cam boot on (bangs around the door/frame, and you can't 'point' your toe any), but I can drive it just fine.

For a few seconds there, i really believed i was gonna see some spy shots......but then dissapointment hit, i'm still trying to recover. Back on meds.
Good one there Eric, i see all this time off you're getting has turned you into a real post *****. Hope things get better for you soon. I'm having my days as well, got a shot of cortisone in my lower back few weeks back, and still trying to go about my regular activities.

Dan - I WISH I was off! No, I am carting myself to/from the office building on one leg (thanks to 9-11 gotta park in another postal code away from the building), dealing with fun stuff like co-workers' witty comments about my scooter that I've heard a MILLION times already ("Hey, don't you know there's a speed limit around here?!?", or, "Hey you know what you need on that? Streamers!"), and more often than not driving the Corolla beater. I may get 2 weeks off if I have to have another surgery (most of which would've been Christmas vacation time anyway).

Post *****? Well, you're prolly right on that one, LOL!

Take care of that back man! I am almost due for another shot in my shoulder....

A friend showed me a great upgrade last night: Go-Kart wheels & tires (about 8 to 10" diameter and 5 inches wide). With the right offset those suckers would look good on this scooter.

Or maybe Lawn tractor tires. Those might work well also. Will post pics if I do anything radical like that.
