I've been a Volunteer Fire Fighter for 5 years and was in the junior division for 2 years. Our junior core broke up due to little interest so I lost the interest and than after right before 9/11 I got back into the line of duty with the Forest View Gang Mills Volunteer Fire Department.

i served in the army reserves from 1988-1996. i was a combat medic with an infantry unit.

my unit wasnt activated during desert storm, but they were asking for volunteers to go to iraq. i volunteered, but the ground war was over before my papers got a chance to be processed... so i ended up not going.

It's a family thing. Grandfather (My Dad's Dad) was in the Navy during WWII. Dad retired in 1981 after 20 years of service as a flight engineer on P-3s. I retired after 20 years in 2001 (Nuke Electronics Tech). Now my oldest son is in "A" School learning Russian so that he can be a Crypto Interpreter. Also, my step-mom was the first female Navy pilot.

Bravo Zulu to our troops. Keep them, and their families at home, in your prayers.
