No I believe he's saying that no one with political ties live down those dirt roads, or they would be 4 lane, wide, well lit roads. Local and state officials determine where the money goes for road improvments.

Nope.
That would be akin to the president telling the DOT exactly how to lay out the road, how much asphalt, how much oil, what grade...

The secretaries only type up exactly what is given to them. They are not given money and told "Go forth and write any law you want in any way that you wish whenever you like!"

And, I am shutting my mouth now. I know better than to talk politics, religion, and quitting smoking. :-)

This contractor fulfilled his obligation, filed a statement of completion, was inspected, and then paid by funds that came down through the pipeline from DC and YOUR presidents dream and illusion of stimulating the economy. But, now by replying to you, the economy has been stimulated again through the extra power I used and will have to pay for, the wear and tear on the power grid that will have to be maintained, the extra gas I'm going to purchase so I can make it to work on time, the buck at McD's because now I dont have time to cook at home, and because I've been connected to Al Gore's internet on dial-up, a foreign employee of the American Telephone and Telegraph company will call me offering high speed DSL on the same 50 year old copper wiring Im using right now. But, YOUR president wants to 'provide' high speed internet to all living in the U.S.A so that problem will be solved, and high speed trains that will replace fossil fuel burning cars, Mustangs. Trains! We use to have a great infrastructure across this country of trains but progress took care of them. Where did all the money for these and the thousands of pork projects come from? Tax payers, China, Dubai?

I am having the structure built on a truss system - one bay with scissor trusses for a potential lift. I am farming out the structure to dry-in, bringing in the storage (attic) trusses and scissor trusses and putting them up with a crane. I want to get the main structure up quickly.
Then I will do the shingles, then do the wiring, plumbing, floor, insulation, etc. as I have time and money. Especially the money for the wiring - have you seen copper prices lately?

looks like a power antenna - probably not room in the fender well for it -
The Shelbys all had those antennas in the rear - when they came out in '67 - '68 like that, the specs said that the fiberglass hood did not shield the electrical interference (alternator whine on the radio) like the metal one did, so the antennas were moved to the rear. I am not sure how much truth there is to that, but definitely possible.
