One of my friends stepdad had a srt10, got pulled over. He asked the cop if he'd still give him a ticket if he outran the cop. Cop said even if you outrun me you cant outrun the scanners haha
Over here only one town (the one I live in) has Chargers, everyone else still uses the Crown Vics. CHP still uses Crown Vics around here too. I've seen a blacked out, tricked out 00-04 Mustang used as a cop car around here also. You do see the occasional Expedition, Tahoe, and F-150 around here as well.
Got a bit of a long story about something that happened to me yesterday that easily fits in this thread:
I was in a hurry to get to class at the college I attend which is about 30 minutes away. Of course, I was stuck behind a long line of cars going 60-65 mph in the fast lane. I look into the slow lane and notice I can easily pass the line of cars since no one was in the slow lane. I move into the other lane and get up to 80. This late 90s Firebird who was infront of me pulls into the slow lane behind me and is right on my ***. Not even 2 seconds later my detector starts chirping. I notice we're coming up on a right hand corner and assume the officer must be around the corner. I passed a few more cars and then jumped into the left lane and slowed back down to the 65 everyone else was going. The Firebird goes flying by me on the right and as soon as we get around the corner, there's the CHP on the shoulder. Firebird slams on his brakes and swerves into the fast lane and tries to pass a few more cars to hide from the CHP. I look in my mirror and the officer flicks on his lights, blows by me and the other cars and pulls the Firebird over. I thought that was too funny and the detector has now paid for itself 3 times over.

Nice!! I saw an add for a new police laser detecter. It communicates with an app on your phone so everytime a it detects a cop it gps maps him to allert other drivers behind you who also have the system.

Beltronics GX65. I bought it from a vendor on eBay, there's plenty of places to get it cheaper than the Beltronics site.

This past summer I went to Croatia twice and they have the best roads that I have ever seen (plus Croatia is so beautiful so it's a real enjoyment to drive there), so it's pretty hard to keep at speed limit which is 130 km/h (80 mph). So this past summer I was driving there and I got behind a Alfa Romeo 159 with the Italian license plates. He was doing 190 km/h (120 mph) and so was I behind him in my Golf (who knew a 1.9L diesel can go that fast).
And at one point a cop in a newer Golf diesel passed both of us, didn't even bother to pull over either one of us.
That was lucky.
It usually takes 8-9 hours of driving to get from Serbia to Croatia ... I got there in less than 6.
