longest car trip you've ever had
Pittsburgh to Sacramento (POS Merc Cougar)
Saramento to Cleveland (POS Merc Cougar)
Florida to Cape Cod and back (POS Chevy Equinox)
All good times, and all with different goals!
Road trips are great
Only trip in the S197 as from north Fla to Naples and it was horrible in the rain with the FR3....not fun, bumpy as hell and bad traction.

Longest trip in one day was from Bham to just outside Jacksonville FL and back. I think it was 1200miles round trip and we were only in J'ville for about 2 hours before we turned around and headed back.
Longest car trip I've ever taken was with Sendero, Tacbear and a few other of our friends from a local group to North Carolina to the Tail Of the Dragon. Over the course of the 4 days I think we all racked up about 2k miles or more.

I did a 2050 mile nonstop 43 hour run from Kansas City to Vancouver back in the 70`s but I had help driving the 76 Cobra II. It would have been even faster but firestone steel radial 500`s had their say.
During the going and return 3 of them went bad. I don`t understand how firestone has stayed in business with all their troubles through the years.
Longest one day trip for me was @920 miles straight through from D.C to Tampa Fl. 12 hrs stopping for fuel and food only.
Longest trip with one other person driving was @4400 From Baltimore to Denver to Lousianna (by houston side) to Bowling Green Ky. then on to Nashville and home again to Baltimore.
This was in a 32' cube truck with governor limited to 60 MPH! Was working at the time installing storefronts back in the mid 80's. Time took with work was 3 weeks. the nashville part of trip was to see the 84 worlds Fair. I think that was the last one if I recall

A lot of coffee and no doze
. Left at 10pm and arrived at 10:20 am wired like nobody's business!!! this was back in 84. Traffic wasn't as heavy
then.. there were actually spots on I-95 where you couldn't find a radio station to tune in ...

Back in '95, I drove all by myself from Tacoma WA to Columbus, Ohio....at the time I was driving my '73 340 Duster, 4 speed....it was orange with a black interior..........what a cool few days that was. I think it was like 2,500 miles or there abouts.
