A lot of peoples battery life sucks bad if they have WiFi on while on the mobile network. WiFi antenna's are always polling those networks that are saved....plus...if you have lots of saved networks, its always polling those as well.

Official name is iPhone 4S, has A5 processor, 8 megapixel camera (shoots 1080p video) and looks identical to the Verizon iPhone 4
It will be sold on Verizon, AT&T, and Sprint on October 14th.
3GS will now be FREE with contract.
4 will be $99 for 8GB
4S will be $199 for 16 GB, $299 for 32 GB, and $399 for 64 GB. All with 2 year contract.
And that sums it up.

Its not supposed to be evolutionary as compared to the 4, thats what the 5 will be. I'm disappointed that the screen size wasn't widened but I'll just hang onto my 4 until the 5 comes out next yearish.

They will be using the major selling point of new SIRI "personal assistant". Which basically allows your phone to do things for you.
Some examples they demonstrated in the press conference.
You ask your phone, " do I need a rain coat today?" the phone replies "it sure looks like rain today" and then shows the weather screen.
They've also integrated it with yelp. He asked the phone, "find me a Greek restaurant in palo alto." the phone replies, "I've located 14 Greek restaurants, 5 are in palo alto, I've sorted them by rating."
I think this feature will be the selling point of the 4S.
