Gun Buffs - Need help identifying and valuing older rifle
Hey everybody, my father recently passed away and among the things he left me were his old rifles. I'm in the process of securing an insurance policy to protect them and the company wants the make and model of each.
I have one rifle in particular that I don't see a model designation on. My dad always called it an "FN Mauser" but that doesn't count as its official make/model apparently. I did some research and it looks to me like the only 30-06 rifles FN made look very different than the one I have, much more military looking.
Anyway, Heres some photos, if anybody had any clues to what I have and what it's worth I'd appreciate it!

qNot a good idea to post pics of gun serial numbers online. I'd take those down.
