How many hours a week at work??!

I'm sure this thread will annoy me with some of the jobs/pay/hours but post how many hours you do a week at work and your average overtime a week and month.

I work 8h 30m days, 5 days a week. Usually averaging anywhere from 25-40 hours of OT a month. However, bwith my train commute, my days are 11.5 hours each WITHOUT overtime.

Maybe this thread will make me feel better about being at work so much lol

40-80 hours it just depends. If I put in 40 my work won't get done. If I put in 80 I get burnt out. Self employed small business. The more I work the more I make.

But my commute is maybe 3 minutes.

BTW that could be 5 days a week or 7. There was one point last year where I worked everyday from Christmas to Easter without a single day off. For the most part I didn't realize how long that was.

My regular schedule is one 36 and one 48. I worked an extra 12 last week and I'm working an extra 24 next week. So 120 this 2 weeks. =36@1 1/2rate $$$$$

36 hours a week. I wish I had over time.. I work mon-thur and have 3 day weekends. I would have a new lift in the garage and a whipple kit.. or a aston!

I drive my car daily and it takes about 17 minutes each way. I used to live across the street from my place of work in a apartment while my new place was bring built.

Im working 55-60 hour work weeks(mon-sat), and see some 80 hour weeks because of the weather being so nice and storms we fit as much as we can in, I climb trees for a living but when school starts back I drop down to 20ish hour weeks. Im still 22 so my work revolves around school days. I am activly trying to become a policeman at this point, but with funding the way it is, thats hard at this point.

I wake up at 530 and out by 6, get to work around 615-30 and we go out get breakfast and on the first job by 7ish. Work till the job is done or we hit 7pm and call it a day.

50-60 a week, monday -friday. On call 24/7/365 and salary so what I make is what I make. Luckily my boss is good and I come and go as I please without question. If I need to leave early I do, or if I need to come in late I do. But those hours on top of a total 3 hours 100 mile commute can really wear on ya.

I'm concentrating intensely on my studies in graduate school, but for about a year a few semesters ago, I had class, job a, and job b, plus hw. On fridays with no job b, it was class, job a, job c, sat was job c, sun morning was job c, then off to job d. Very easily 100 hrs/week some weeks

45 minute commute one way, 33 miles
10-20 hours overtime a week, if i go offshore, its close to 50-60 hours OT.

Long drive, but the job is worth it.

I work 40 hours a week pretty clockwork. The only reason I get 40 instead of 38 is because I don't work on sundays usually. You either get 40, and don't work sunday, or get 38 and work sunday. (sunday is time and a half) And since I write the schedule for my department, I try to keep everything the same week to week, barring vacations. Down side is I get to work outside in South Florida, in a very customer service oriented position. And I get to start my shift at 5:15 am. On the plus side, I only live 7 miles away, and there usually isn't anybody on the road at that time. When I first started, OT was whenever. Hell, the first week I worked there I put in 50 hours there and 27 in my other job, all the while being so sick I couldn't even speak. Now, OT is something that very rarely gets alowed to happen. Usually only happens during inventory or the weeks running up to Christmas.

I usually work 48 hrs, this week I worked 12hrs,sun,mon,tue,Wednesday,thurs, 8hrs on Friday, Sat, Sun. I'm on my 13 th day straight.
On paycheck for this week it will show 84 hrs .( for time and a half for anything over 40, and I get double pay for Sunday.
15 yrs ago when I first got hired they put you on a 90 probation period, I literally work 76 days straight, and a good 50% of them 12 hr shifts.
They warned us, you can refuse Sunday, but the Company might not keep you in fear of thinking they won't need you because your not willing to work OT.
We have mandatory OT, can't refuse Saturday, if you don't show up you get 3 days off without pay on first offense..UAW

I'm on the road for work a lot, so when I'm gone, I try working 80-90 hrs a week (if that particular company will allow it). When I am home I have the option of not working (because of all the work while I'm gone) or working at a company in the area. The hours often vary while I'm working at home. Last few weeks were straight 40, and now I'm done until I head back to Mexico the 13th. But I try to work as much as possible while I can, mainly because I get double time after 58 hours.
