It's about 26-30 depending on the processor/HDD speed.

I have an old SSD somewhere. It was too slow so I haven't used it. Only 60 gig I think, so too small too.

My antivirus is going to expire at the end of the month. I have norton now, they want $50 to renew, I got a email from zone alarm for $15. I know you get what you pay for, does that go for antivirus too?!? Any suggestions?!?

IMO any free one will work, a bit of common sense online is all the anti-virus you really need.

There's no need to pay for antivirus anymore. I use AVG or Microsoft security essentials. Either one is sufficient.

I used a "free" copy of avg for a while, good product besides a few firewall oddities.

Freaking new photobucket. I was trying to use it earlier, and it had this auto uploader listed. I thought it was like the thing they had on the old one, where it had a little icon at the bottom of your screen and you could click on it to upload a pic without having to log in every time.

So I downloaded it, and turns out it wasn't. It was to automatically upload photos to pb anytime you put new pics on your computer. Well I didn't want that so I uninstalled it.

After I did, now my freaking touch pad won't scroll up and down on any site, using any browser. You can still move it around, click on something etc. but it won't scroll. WTF??!?!?

I've used AVG Free for several years now (since 01 or 02 I think) and not one virus. The key is to update daily and scan nightly.

This. Sounds like you lost a driver somehow, so it's defaulting to a generic driver that doesn't support all the features you're used to.

I downloaded the newest Synaptics touchpad driver for my laptop when I installed Windows 8, and it's got all kinds of features now ("Scrybe") that I didn't used to have. I can 3-finger tap, then draw a picture, and it'll open whatever program/website I specified for that picture. I don't use it often, but I thought it was a pretty neat feature.

Got it fixed. When I'd try to go into all programs and click on it, it would say could not connect to it or something like that. Finally did some reading on the HP site, went into the recovery manager and reinstalled the driver for it. Works now.

You might still look into getting the most recent driver from the actual touchpad manufacturer. Depending on how old your laptop is, they (HP, Dell, etc.) don't always have the most recent one...Just the latest one that they bothered to "support."
