With that out of the way, I just do NOT understand...

WHY am I the go to guy for *every **** product on the planet?!?!*

"Hey houtex, this copier's broke... you got any ideas?"

"Hey houtex, I use this product, 'Esoteric Thing V2.6' and all of a sudden I can't do something... can you help?"

"Hey houtex, I need to make these speakers work, can I use a hamster and a wheel, or...?"

And of course, my favorite, is when the software is updated and then the people are LOST. **LOST** I tell you.

Seriously? Nobody has any adventurous bones in their body to FIGURE IT OUT YOURSELF?!?

I'm the same person in my house, and I really don't even know all that much. And the stuff people bug me about is the stupidest of things, like changing ink in the printer, or playing a DVD. It drives me nuts.

Willie: Not enough information given, but likely copyright issues. You could use a third party ripper/stripper to get that solved, but...

Also, you could, if your system allows it, use something like Audacity to 'record what you hear' and get around it that way.

I know exactly how you feel. Everytime one of my friends' computers is messed up..."hey, I need you to stop everything you're doing and fix my computer, cuz I can't live without my facebook." So I just started charging people a fee, even friends, for me to even try to fix anything. (Usually a case per incident. )
