Fitness bands
Fitness bands
I'm looking at getting my wife a Fitness band for a Christmas gift. I was wondering if any of you own one and how you like it. Pros/cons.
She currently has a digiwalker step counter, and the new bands seem to track steps and much more.
I've narrowed down to the Fitbit flex and Nike fuel. Leaning toward the Fitbit, seems to get better reviews. She's a visual person so having a small screen will work better for her.
Thanks

The fuel band has been getting bad reviews.
If you're gonna get something like that for your wife (unless she asked for it) get one for yourself too, so she doesn't think you're calling her fat or something.

ever decide on one? I havent really thought about them much until now and looking at the three main ones, fitbit, jawbone, and nike fuelband.
I bought the wife a fitbit force. I really think its a toss up with all three. The nike looks better and more comfortable. I think the app for the fitbit might be better. The jawbone seems to have a nice app too.
everything ive read and seen, the jawbone has a better app than the fitbit. I am really on the fitbit force, or the jawbone Up24, mainly cause they both can track sleep, which is something i am really interested in tracking cause i know my sleep patterns are all over the place. In reading, im finding that its all manual tho, you have to tell it when youre going to sleep. i kinda wish it was more automated :/
Get the fitbit. I have a fuelband, and it's okay. Jawbone products are crap, and always break early. I know people who work at My Fitness Pal, and they swear by the fitbit for reliability and they're decently accurate versus the other two.
