thats what the helmet is for. if i don't get that jacket right away and get a cheaper one first (which is likely given that the jacket is $400) I was gonna velcro my mando armor to the outside of the real armored jacket

and the bike can start apaprently. he got it to crank and turn over. no idea if its sparking, but he also didnt crank it long, since alot of oil is missing (it leaked out in transport since the bike was on its side.. i need to figure that leak out...)

didnt pick it up yet, complications arose but i hope to soon

Well, time for this thread to come to an end. I have decided to sell the bike for good.

It pains me to do so, but I'm getting $200 for a bike I've already made $10 off of net. The money from this will go to bullitt suspension bits. The money I was going to use to pay for the wiring on the bike will also be appropriated to the Bullitt mod fund.

i ordered a sprocket from a dealer, so im gonna try and return that., so theres another $50

I'm sad to see the bike go, it was alot of fun, but I've got too many toys as it is. I'll get another bike later

The guy itws going to takes "meh" japanese bikes and converts them into really cool hardtail bobbers all the time. He basically does what I wanted to do to this bike for money. I saw some of his other work and he does a great job. he usually builds and sells them though, so I imagine he'll have this bike for a little while before it goes to somewhere else

I think next time I'll start with a better platform. No offense to my little Yamabobber, but there are better bikes to start with. Maybe I can actually get my hands on a Harley or Triumph *daydreams..*

Decisions, decisions. They never end. And if I recall your folks weren't very happy with the bike idea in the first place, right? But at least you'll get mod $

yeah, i definitely feel more confident working on a bike now that ive taken one almost completely apart. I mean shoot, I took the thing down to the bare frame cut and hardtailed it and repainted it. the rest is just basic mechanics.

So i guess its a win-win-win. knowledge, profit and money for the Mustangs

yeah they still hate it. I bought it without permission and built it without permission. I don't really care what they think about it since I wont be living here much longer. Just another semester and a summer and I'm out for good

Mod money FTW
