Had to have my ole lady jump my chevy pickup with her ford taurus. :'(

I had to jump a truck at the work a few weeks back. the guy seen my car and asked if it has a strong enough battery. I laughed and told him mine was bigger then his LOL. Popped my lil hood and showed him my optima yellow top(the biggest one they make).

It was also a chevy. Cant pick on him to bad because the valleys heat really kills batteries fast.

Do you live in Phoenix, or just in the area? What's your altitude there?

I live in sun city which is 10 miles from phoenix. It a couple hundred feet above sea level(like 200-300 feet).

I wondered because San Antonio (were I am) is about the same height above sea level, and we get pretty hot Summers too. I don't know that batteries suffer out here more than they do there...I do know it's probably more humid here than it is there. No, not by much, but I wonder if perhaps the dry air helps to speed a battery's demise...
