Are there any disadvantages from joining a gang?

 

No unless the rival gang is more powerful. The gang I joined had to make a truce cause I spent most of my time in the hospital. Thats not necesarily a bad thing since you can't get mugged/attacked there and you can buy points and sell it on the points market and do the 50/50. Also you can "search downtown" and do the lucky dip to get money, items, and equip for no work. If you vote for the site you can get free points and money too.

 

What's a house do for you? Or car?

A house gives you a larger awake meter. the higher your awake the faster you can get your strength, defense, and speed amounts up. For example if I have only 3 awake and I strenth train 2 I'll only get maybe 1 added to my strength amount. But if I have 2000 awake points and I strength train 2 I'll get like 1000 added to my strenth amount. The car I dont' know much about, I guess it makes it cost less to travel, I havent bought one yet since $1k is measly money to me now and I stick to chicago anyways so... its not worth buying basically.
