Best/Worst Concerts
#21
I've been to a lot of Better than Ezra shows, and they're ALWAYS good. But a couple of my other favorite are:
Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers
DMB
Alabama
Sarah McLachlan (just recently, don't laugh)
Blink 182 (probably 5 years ago, again don't laugh)
and Rancid at the Warped Tour like 5 years ago.
Worst: Blues Traveler at UA a few years ago.

20,000 screaming 14 year old girls.................How did you survive that one? You must be one heck of a brother to put yourself through that for your sister.

One of best and one of the worst concerts I've seen is by the same band: Aerosmith
The first time I saw them, they were all deep into drug and alcohol addictions, it was awful. I've seen them several times since and they put on a kickin show.
Just goes to show ya.

My wife MADE me take her to see Third Day last year. I had never listened to them, but she loved them. I was dreading it, but it ended up being a very good show. If you have never heard of Third Day, they are a christian southern rock band. They have some really good stuff.
I also saw Stevie Nicks on the Rock A Little tour in the mid 80's. I LOVE Stevie, but that was one heck of an awful show. She could barely stand up and forgot half the words and slurred the other half. (there isnt a smilie doing a line so I had to use that one)

Worst: Kevin Sharp (Arnold Days Bleh. At least I got his autograph on an album of his I had.)

BEST: #1-- BUSH (the band, not the president) and the singer, Gavin Rossdale is not bad to look at either!
WORST: Well, there were 2, for sure, guess because they were not my favs to start off with, but I went wtih Shane to see Hank Jr, he was so drunk we couldnt understand what he was even singing, or saying. Guess he should have taken notes from the 2nd worst concert IMO: Britney Spears. She lip sang the whole concert.
Funny -- she would sing never messing up the pitch, then when she was done, was too out of breath to speak! LOL Guess it didnt matter to my daughter, who was 8 at the time --- she would prob tell you it was her best concert!
Oh, BTW heres Gavin!

1st concert I attended, 1966, Philadelphia Convention Center "The Beach Boys"
Last Concert I attended Orlando FL 2005 "The Beach Boys"
Saw them a total of 5 times. In 1999 they played at our civic center and my rental dept provided the transportation, got to drive them to the airport.
We rent lots of vans for performers at our civic center so I get to go to TONS of shows, usually with the promotors good seats.
Here's me with Mike Love.

Best Concert: Metallica/Guns N' Roses with Body Count opening (1992)
Worst Concert: Kiss Farewell Tour #? (2000) mostly because the people around me were singing/shouting out all the lyrics, drowning out the band.
First Concert: Night Ranger (1985) yikes.....

Best: The Eagles in 2002 or 2003, or, and I'm dead serious about this, Vanilla Ice in 1998
Worst: Sugar Ray
