Yeah,...the 2014 tail lights are much better in my opinion.

If I were ever contemplating about buying a Camaro, those 14 tail lights sealed the deal for a omg, hell no, never. Horrid. Lol

Cool

Now if Ford would make a 2015 or 2016 Mustang with 670 plus horsepower and faster than the Z28, I maybe would spend $ 75000 for one.

What if Ford made a Parnelli Jones or Lee Iacocca SE for the 16 MY?

Lee Iacocca version just doesn't roll of the tongue right

Iacocca Mustang just doesn't make me want to run out and buy it.

Which are useless and misleading.

There's no doubt it'll be plenty capable at the track, but it won't be at many HPDE events because of the cost.

Nurburgring numbers aren't in any way standard. Some use road tires, some "road" tires, some with professional drivers, some don't even run the same length of track.

Agreed, great entertainment but useless outside of internet bench racing, even the addition of safety equipment like a roll bar changes the stiffness of the car effecting its performance.

Not only does it add stiffness which can affect the lap time by a secnd or two, but it also adds weight which can counteract the new chassis stiffness. Tires (or tyres for europeans), rim options, chassis stiffness, course conditions and of course driver as well can all affect lap times. Its good to shell out fast times like that but in the real world those times have almost no meaning

The problem with this so called "Track Car" is that the car is not legal in any sanctioned series i know of...

The 305 tires are too wide
The carbon brakes are illegal
the engine displacement is too large
etc...

SCCA, NASA, etc...what class is this thing legal in? The Boss 302 was manufactured to actually "RACE' in one of these series! This car, cool as it is, CANNOT be LEGALLY raced in any series!!!! WTF??!! Track car for HPDE events only?!

New guy: I just bought a 2014 Z/28 and it will whoop *** on the track against you (insert Boss, 911, Z06, etc here)..... Oh wait, nevermind it has cheater brakes, engine, and blah ,blah, blah... DOH!!

Now if it was a 1LE with 5.0L and super light weight, crazy suspension dampers, biggest (legal) brakes, etc and was up against a Boss....well then it would be a different story.

Don't get me wrong, the car is sick, but what can it compete against legally and fairly? 7.0 liters and 500 HP? The Boss with a CJ intake, cams, and tune is 530ish crank HP! Almost if not over 500 WHP! Now lets put the GT500 6 piston brakes, Boss R oil pan(let alone dry sump????) 275 R comps, and Bilsteins all around, and this Z/28 get its a$$ kicked LEGALLY!!!
