What is the left lane for?

Here's a site that explains the laws in various states... even though most people on here probably know this...

Yeah, I think we know what the left lane is supposed to be for: Mr Holier Than Thou who perches in the fast lane at exactly the legal limit so that no speed demons can pass him. You won't find this in Europe. They actaully practice lane discipline. I wish we all would here.

I hate when people pass on the right...I normally hang out in the middle lane on a 3 lane interstate, an pass on the left....but there are idiots out there who want to "split" the slow car in the middle....so when I want to go back to the middle lane, I always have to make sure the guy that passed on the right isnt fighting me for it.... ..so whe dont have a crash!! Most of my road rage stems from this....

my general rule for the left lane that i wish people would follow is: if you are in the left lane and are going the same speed as the person to your right, you are in the wrong lane!
just makes me really angry when people just get in the left lane and hang there, like going 65 in the left lane is so much better than going 65 one lane over

I'm driving my mum to the hospital for the next five weeks, and I see
those "road blockers" all the time. ESPECIALLY in the carpool lane.
Carpool road blockers are the worst!

I get people that see me comming up in the left hand lane to pass that purposely change from the right lane behind another car, to the left just to **** me off and slow me down. Sometimes they pass the car they were behind and I usually have to pass them on the right because they dont get back over after they have passed. But sometimes they just go neck and neck with the other car. In some instances going 5-10mph UNDER the Speed Limit. In those cases I lay on the horn.

^ lol

i hate those drivers at night with the GT you can turn your fogs on and flash yro brights so they alternate, scares a lot of those a holes into getting out of your way.

i only wish police would enforce this law and worry less about speeding. if we can speed in a straight line insead of having to slow down every few cars because idiots dont move over there would be far less wrecks

police need to worry less about speeding and more about people driving while using thier cell phones. in case you missed that MythBusters, using a cell phone and driving drunk are equally detrimental to your ability to drive.
