UGLY AS HELL.

I agree with Dougx also. Let me dump an extra 20k worth of mods and not only will your new car still be ugly, but it will be ugly from a long ways back.

I agree... it says a 6.0 LS3??? The LS3 is a 6.2. Could just be a typo though.

Just out of curiosity, what does a regular Vette have in the way of HP at the moment? Because I know GM has been reluctant to have anything that will run with it's sports car for the longest time. So, how much HP could they give the Camaro before it started to get too close to the Vette range?

2005 Corvette coupe curb weight is 3179 lbs. Probably 800-900 lbs. lighter than Camaro.

1) I like the exterior styling, and I hate the interior.

2) As everyone has said, it's just going to start the "who's better" debate all over again, and for us and them, that's a good thing. Interest is interest, no matter how you put it, it shows car companies they need to keep feeding us cool stuff.

3) It's just like a Camaro weenie to come late to the party and try to show everyone up. I say again, one of the best statistics the GM people never throw out in the Camaro vs Mustang debate are all the years there was no Camaro to compare with! Hope they've been having fun with the Cobalt SS these past years if they couldn't afford a Vette...

4) They can make all the statements about HP they want, if the Camaro is so out of our class, why do they keep comparing it to a Mustang. The Stang is the benchmark, and without it, there would be no Camaro.

I call BS

here is a line from a Q&A with Scott Settlemire

10) CZ28: How will people know when the appropriate time to place a deposit on a new Camaro is?

Scott:
When the order guide hits dealerships- and we'll let you know that through CamaroZ28.Com.

Sorry guys, I'd be the first to tell you I've been looking forward to seeing the new Camaro, but if thats what the final production model will look like, I'm really disappointed. I used to love the previous Trans-Am and Camaro body, this looks almost nothing like it.
Anyone notice that humongous gap in the front wheel well compared to the rear? The car just seems so much more disproportioned than the concepts I've been seeing.

I honestly dont think that GM will make a Camaro that will be faster than a base Corvette. At most maybe as much power, but with the weight difference, the Camaro will be slower.
