What the s*** is going on there?!?!
It's a freaking car show! And there are no rules against modding one's engine here, so long as it passes the emissions test, and only if its new enough to need to!
That is such bulls***. What a wonderful state i live in

I had a long conovo with a cop on this forum about how they abuse power and hassle people for nothing. The cop would not believe me and refused to admit they did this. Well I rest my case...

I've often wondered where my gas tax dollars are going.
Obviously not into the road and highway infrastructure...
Now at least I know where some of the money's being wasted.
I'm curious about the cars that were confiscated.
How do you justify confiscation if you don't catch them racing?
Did they have drugs aboard?

This question from the one cop gets me:
Uh, maybe this owner is a law abiding citizen and likes to go to the track on weekends!
The fact is not all officers are like this, in fact most aren't. However this raid gives the rest of the law enforcement community a bum rap and simply antagonizes people.
“If you’re not into street racing, why would you need that?” Riverside Police Traffic Sergeant Skip Showalter asked an enthusiast during a similar crackdown last year. “Why would you want more power going to your car?”

I hear that Andy. they had no right to question why they did what they did with their own money
I have yet to meet a REAL cop with this crappy of an attitude though. At least I've had the pleasure of mostly knowing good ones

I love how people get all fired up, considering you're only getting half the story. Since none of us were there how do we know this is exactly how it went down? What is the story from the cops and other witnesses'? (sorry criminal justice major, bias)lol
50+ cop cars in one place?
Would have been a great time to have robbed a bank across town.
I'm sure some of the cars were no longer street legal. There are some laws about how high off the ground your headlights must be. I've seen a guy get towed because of that, and illegal exhaust before anyways. Plus he was being a butt to the cop who was checking out his car.
But at any rate this sucks.

Hello. Did you read it ALL? They were IMPORT's. Beat-up, Banged-up, Import's, gathered to impress each other with their Fart Cans. And all in a Preppy Town. Duh!! Common sense was absent, and it had been going on for a long time, getting worse at each gathering. They should have done the world a great favor, and impounded them all. IMHO
