BBC's Top Gear team up with Gran Turismo 5 dev on PS3
GT TV plans to offer users the latest news from the world of motoring and is due for launch in 2008. In this new deal there will be 40 episodes of Top Gear available for download.
“We at Polyphony are great fans of the world’s best motoring programme, Top Gear, so we’re delighted to be collaborating with BBC Worldwide to deliver Top Gear content via Gran Turismo,” said Kazunori Yamauchi, President, Polyphony Digital, “We’re sure that players will be as thrilled as we are when they get the chance to put their own driving skills to the test on the Top Gear Test Track in GT5, as well as enjoying classic episodes of Top Gear via GT TV.”
Simon Danker, Director, Digital Media, BBC Worldwide commented,“BBC Top Gear is the world’s number one motoring media brand and we’re thrilled to make it accessible to Gran Turismo gamers. We continue to explore different avenues to share our content with an expanding audience, and are delighted to participate with Polyphony Digital in the launch of this exciting new opportunity.”
Each week on Top Gear Jeremy Clarkson tests the latest cars on the Top Gear test track. In conjunction with the episodes these tracks will then be able to be downloaded and played on Gran Turismo 5.

actually they just lowered the price to $500.......so i mean now everyone can afford it
. And yes im a Wii fan......now i just need a good racing game like GT5 or Forza.

I'm a fan of whatever machine lets me play the games I want to play.
This is Polyphony Digital we're talking about, so there's a pretty good chance it'll get delayed a couple times.

Wii Just is not my style. Any system that can make you sweat to make you play a game... You might as well play the game in REAL LIFE.

It would just be nice to have a Fox Mustang in a GT game. Since they are getting with Top Gear, that pretty much is a nail in the coffin for being "no". Top Gear's a good show, but their taste in cars isnt always a match for mine. My beef is you can have a 93hp daihatsu, but not one of Ford's most produced ponies. Too bad you cant import cars from the Mustang the legend lives game.
