well when you get it post pics man will love to see which ever you get
No problem. It's only a matter or time now.

BTW, there is an interview on the Digital Corvettes site with the reviewer who got the car after they were finished testing it.

"We had warned them not to give the car to BBC Top Gear first because they'd wreck it, and sure enough, as a result of their antics (see tomorrow night's programme) the car went back to the workshop in Dusseldorf with a stripped clutch, four bald tyres and damaged bodywork. I was impatient to get behind the wheel at last, but I was also prepared to be disappointed." [/b][/quote]
heheh sounds like those TG guys are hard on a car lol

Man, those French.

EDIT: Oh, come ON, I can't even say S uck here? A post sarcastically barbing the needless French dislike, and it's ruined.

What I think is funny is that we have these guys ripping on an american icon car, tearing down every little thing about it that is wrong(i still want to know how they got the inside front wheel to lock under breaking and if so was this a preproduction model or a "media" copy of one!!) and these same guys did a huge segment on how wonderful and elegant and graceful the aston martin DB9 was.

Yet, when an american car mag(car and drive) does a comparo of it(the DB9) and 3 other v-12 coupe's, the darn thing starts acting like a british car! The gauges would die while you were driving, the brake waning indicators kept coming on! They laughed about how it didnt feel like 444 hp, heck on the last day the darn thing didnt even start because of electrical problems!

Now im not saying that the corvette is the best car america builds, not sure why they think that in that movie either! But A.M. IS the best that England builds and we all know the history of the "well" functioning british sports cars (I still remember my uncle having to hit the dash and turn on a blink in order to make the horn work in his MG! LOL!) and all the problems they have. So I believe of course there is going to be some bias, its just natural! heck look at us and how much we hate rice!(at least I do!)

"Hey guys, we have no chance of victory now that the British have evacuated the continent and many will die if we continue to fight, so LET'S KEEP IT UP! WOO!"

Prove them selling Saddam illegal materials.

Also, considering how this nation has been poisoned against France over the years with talk like "surrender monkey" and so on, I wouldn't be surprised if they didn't like us for years before our gunslingin' President showed up on the scene. Just because it's your country doesn't mean everyone in the world is required to like it.

I love how every time people try to bring up France in a negative manner they ignore how there's no way we'd even be a country right now without their assistance. But heck, let's just destroy the Statue of Liberty, burn Lafayette Square, and re-name all French-inspired towns and objects.

Get a real global view, people. It's not all about what we want and like. We're only 300,000,000 in a world approaching 7,000,000,000,000.

The anti-France sentiment in the US dates back to WWII, and is fueled by both sides, t1t for tat. Just watch the interaction between the US and France in the UN as an example.

If people treat you rudely, its only human nature to respond in kind. This stuff is easier to start than to stop, unfortunately.

PS. I spelled tlt with an '1' instead of an 'i' because as far as I know "breast for tat" isn't a widely used expression.

really, back on topic.

They didn't rip on the GT. Except the 4 miles a gallon, but if you could afford that car, you can afford the gas. Also, the short guy did a review on 69 charger back some time, and stated the obvious, loud, obnoxious, heavy, but you know HE Liked the car!!!

NO!! Haha

He's built a lot of pre-production C6's. And he's fixed up a few that have gone to different auto shows and had stuff broken off of them. He totally fabricated one of the show cars taillights that were busted out. Called my mom one time while he was on the proving ground driving the C6. Can you imagine that. Hahaha.

Told us that he had to totally rebuild another C6 that went for a magzine testing review. Guess the moron driving it hit too high of a speed and lost control and slammed the side of the car into the guard rail AND the moron never even attempted to touch the breaks. :bang:

He also said that whenever a car goes to one of these reviews.. that they spend a whole day or 2 making sure there are no squeaks or anything unusual. The sprayed some foam in part of it too keep this one squeak out, they couldn't figure out where it was coming from.

When the Saturn ION was in it's developement... he took that a few times around the proving grounds. Hit a few deers.. think he said like 3 of them and 2 walked away with nothing wrong and there were no marks on the car at all. He said Saturn should market their cars towards that area. Hahaha

Pretty interesting stuff. Told him to let me know if they are in a pinch and need a detailer ASAP.. they can call me
