I went to a cruise tonight, There was a very good selection of cars old and new. There were about 30 cars( 5 mustangs, candy apple red 1971 Mach 1, candy apple red 1969 Mach 1, cream 1972 Mach 1, Metallic Green 1967 fastback and mine), rods, trucks and others there (including a ford cortina with a supercharged 460ci V8 that could do the standing 1/4 in 10 seconds dead!!:drive: . )

The main highlight of the night, though, came from some destruction. At the start of the cruise, a Chrysler Viper lit it's tyres up in front of me and pebble dashed my bumper . He then proceeds to the road junction (dual carraigeway). Lights up again, went for opposite lock to correct his slide but kept his foot jammed to the floor and promptly wrapped the car into the arnco! He is now minus the front and side body kit, with extensive re-spraying needed. (I've got his fog lamp reflector as a souvineer!). The guy thought he was God, but sped away without even looking at the damage because he was so embarrassed

I feel very sorry for the car, but if you cannot drive it and insist on showing off, you shouldn't have it, period. And in true AmyV6 style, I didn't have a camera with me

Guard rail, I think.

JGS--Another fine example of having a big wallet, does not mean you have a big brain (or the know-how to use it).

Yep; Guard rail to stop you going into oncoming traffic.

My favorite so far was a guy I met who was stationed in Germany. He had his modified Z06 at one of the tracks there and witnessed a guy in a Diablo lock it up and go straight into a concrete barrier, the front of the car was just mush.

He had pictures of it. That's why insurance is so much. Even people smart enough to make fortunes are still too stupid to learn how to drive properly.

I got sent to Italy for a few months from Iceland, he got sent down from Germany to Italy. He is in the Army and stationed there. He had to get in on a lotto event to get the one Z06 the military auto sales had for sale that year in Europe. 36 people were in the pool, he got picked.
It was a screaming yellow vette, lots of head turning on the Autostrada as we flew by BMW, Mercs, and whatever else was on the road. Lots of fun.

Some people are sooooo dumb. Sure, I've done some dumb things but I know when to take my foot off of the gas. Even if it was a viper or vette, it still costs us all in the long run with higher insurance.
