This is for you guys who pull your "racecars" or "showcars" to events with "prizes". I highly suggest that you seriously take a look and read this article. There is really no way for me to verify the validity of his claims, but its worth looking into before its to late.

That is F'n BS, I would have all I could do not to smash that DOT guy in the face. Why the heck would he have to unhook and drive away? why cant he stay their? That is such BS, I am pissed now. Why does the goverment feel the need to ruin our firggin life? RRR!!!!!
I had a bud who going from canada to washington state at the beginning of July O5 to race sprint cars with his 44' trailer and toter home got pulled over in Montnna and same thing happend to him. Pile of tickets, commercial b.s.. he does it for a hobby with his son.
I am a Trooper that does Commercial Vehicle Enforcement and the Law is the same nationwide. Just like the article says if you make money and you are driving a Vehicle over 10,000# GVWR then it is concidered a Commercial Vehicle and you are required to comply with all laws that an 18 wheeler driver has to, except having a CDL (unless the single vehicle or combination is over 26,000#)
If it is a Hobby and you don't get paid then you are not driving a commercial vehicle.
