dot 4 brake fluid instead of dot3

Hi all, had my brake fluid drained and replaced by Ford Dealer. Noticed they refilled with dot 4 fluid instead of dot 3. The owners manual states only refill with dot 3. Did they make a major mistake or am I ok running with dot 4? My car is an 07gt. Thanks everyone

Dot 4 had a higher boiling point. Otherwise it is 100% compatible.

Yeah sometimes part numbers get superseded. My ranger called for older mercon tranny fluid which is no longer produced and got upgraded at the last service. It should be fine but if your concerned usually google has a pretty good table that shows the new specs for fluids based on what they are currently using. Or the dealer can show you they keep that stuff logged in the computer.
