Possible next gen Mazda 3 leaked
Possible next gen Mazda 3 leaked

I would imagine it would look very similar to this, even if this isn't really a "leak". It follows all the design features of the CX5,Mazda 6 and CX9 as of late.
But great little cars. Hopefully with the added weight reduction (the 6 managed to lose 300lbs) this will be light as a feather and easily get into the 40s on the highway.

If that's the case, and given mazdas recent trak record, this is very close to what they'll end up making for production.
Alfa Romeo wouldn't be a bad connotation to have, certainly better than the stupid grin theme of the current M3. I rather like it, certainly much better than the current model with its overly massive front end, incohate lines and aforementioned goofy grin -- the first gen M3 I thought nailed it, styling wise and this seems to come close to that.
I'm a big fan of the new design language. Instead of Asian carp on the roads, this would be a much better look. Not sold on the rear so much.
The big question is whether or not they'll start putting more soul into their cars. The reduced weight is nice, but they're skimping on power and going for fuel economy. It's a bit of an identity crisis for them.

They're developing turbocharge variants of these skyactiv engines. I've driven an AWD cx5. It was slower than I was hoping.
Their biggest problem is the lack of NA manufacturing. They take huge hits getting the cars from Japan to here.
Plus pulling out of Flat rock was their last manufacturing.
