From the door forward it looks like a Lancia Beta, but I don't recall a shot hatch version.

It's actually built in partnership between two major European companies, but sold under name of only one company in South America.

To help you out, one of those companies was Ford, but this car was never sold under Ford badge.

This car was designed in Dearborn, Michigan and powered by Flathead V8, but never sold in the USA.
It was top of a line car by this car company in this western European country.
