I think Chevy blew it. I just really can't get past the front end styling, no matter what kind of lights they end up using. I still think it would have looked better if they had styled it after the 70-72 body.

Agreed. The split bumper (RS) second generation Camaro was a great looking car.

The '70-82 Fbody was more of it's own unique design rather than a Mustang clone.
See the pressed in quarter panel "vents" in front of the rear wheels on the '69 Camaro and on the new 2010 prototypes? I wonder where that idea came from?
Using the '70-82 styling cues but modernizing them would have been more uniquely "Camaro".
