Just heard
I wouln't say that, it be very close, but to say the 911 will LOSE to the GT-R is entirely not true. Could very well be a drivers race, but IMO since these cars are very similar in every aspect, I just prefer the look of the Porche's. You be the judge. The one compared is the " premium " which has an addtional 40K in interior goods, so just minus the extra 40K for the premium and there is only about a 3-4K difference.

Ever driven one? Its a beast! The grip it provides, with the sheer force of acceleration is just insane. Its also incredibly comfortable, has a MASSIVE trunk and a backseat you can actually use. It BEGS to be used as a daily driver.
I am biased, though. The only one I ever drive has 700+ awhp.

*Edit* Another thing is pricing. Thought the 2012 GT-R's are in the 90k-ish base MSRP range, a turbo Porsche new is still well over 100k. Driving a GT-R is really not that difficult, so a driver's race between a rear ending, rear wheel drive Porsche against an all wheel drive would be a bit unfair...but then again that's why launch control exists. Either way, the GT-R continues to be the best bang for the buck.
