Good article driving prototypes. Looking forward to the EPA ratings on these new engines. Especially that diesel.

Perhaps. I know the Focus took suspension from the new Mazda 3. Maybe it was a trade? lol

All of Mazdas current 4cyls and 6cyls are Ford engines, I am just assuming that relationship is still there and are getting the updated versions now.

I knew the old ones were. But when ford sold their majority stake in Mazda they didn't have any official partnership. But they could have co developed them I guess.

Mazdas are usually cars that everyone likes, but nobody buys. Not a fan.

Interesting technology in the diesel when it comes to emissions controls.

Looking forward to these engines. Love all mazdas and I'll be test driving a new 3 with these technologies in October when they start showing up to dealerships.

I've always liked the Mazda3, except for the fuel mileage. Looks like they are finally getting that right.
