I really do love Mazda. My first car was an 05 Mazda 6 hatchback. Had suspension issues after about 5 years (in New England, though). My mom had an 09 Mazda CX9. Had suspension issues after 3 years (again, in New England). Engines were good, though!
To bad they didn't break Ford and GM down into cars and trucks. I would have loved to see how the Chevy truck faired against the GMC truck, especially if they were produced at the same plant.
A few surprises:
Kia being so high up, as well as Jaguar that used to be notoriously unreliable.
Chevrolet being so high up given all the recalls in the news. Guess there's a great distinction between "new" Chevy and "old" Chevy.
Ford being as low as it is. Thought they had upped their quality more than that.
That so many Asian brands are in the bottom half, especially Subaru and Mazda which, having owned both, I always considered to be among the more reliable brands -- Infiniti, Acura and Scion (basically Toyotas #5) too -- very surprised.

They also pioneer a lot of tech and mechanical stuff.
It all trickles down to Kia as well. That's why both are so high.
AANNNDDD. Hyundai's are designed AND built right here is the good old USA too!
