I was cruising down IH10 on my way home when suddenly a last gen Cobra roars by followed closely by BMW M3 and then a Lotus Esprit. I few seconds later a C5 Corvette roars by as well. What was really unusual about is that all four cars were lowered with wide rubber and all had sponsor stickers all over them. It felt like I had suddenly been dropped into the middle of a Trans Am race. Does anyone have any idea what that might have been? Just four guys with stickered up cars or something like the Cannonball Run or One Lap Of America?

 

What, do didn't drop a gear and go after them? LOL Just kidding

 

In my 4 cylinder Fusion? I could have but I don't think any of them would have even noticed.

 

You could catch up to their skid marks!

Interesting...it says they started July 29th out of either New Yord or Miami. If the ones that started in Miami go down Interstate 10 as part of the race, they would go right through my area. Also, I spotted them on July 31st, two days after the start. That might be what I saw!

 

Cool sighting. Id love to do one of those, itd be a blast.

 

They were in MO, the Highway Patrol tracked them across the state. They were on the news too!
