wow, this is just shocking.. wait, not really.

 

It's conspiracy. GM's not losing money, but the media likes the Mustang better than the Camaro so it reports unfavorable GM numbers. You see every tenth that 2011 Mustang 5.0 beats a 2010 Camaro SS by is worth $1.0 billion to the press.

 

Boy that's a lot of losses:

General Motors Co. says it lost $4.3 billion in the last half of 2009. GM last reported earnings in November, when it said it lost $1.2 billion in the third quarter. That was before the company completed the fresh-start process. It lost $6 billion in the first three months of 2009 before its stay in Chapter 11. It lost $31 billion in 2008.

they were perfectly capable of losing money (and were vigorously practising it) even before they were gov owned
