First Spy Pic of Challenger Concept

I may have to have one of these...as long as they don't put the same stupid Dodge grille that they put on all their cars. I.E Charger,Stratus,Neon,etc...It's kinda like Pontiac and their grilles for the Grand Am,GTO,etc...Stop with the cookie cutter crap already. I love the retro grille on the Challenger, that's the way it's supposed to look!

Wow i really like it. I think it will be priced more in the GTO range then the Mustang. Hopefully this will wake up ford and up the ante on the MUstang.

Ionno... If they price it around the GTO they will be pricing it around the Charger price tag. It's not a good idea to compete against itself. I hope they price it around the price of the Stang

I wonder where the car is going to be built, the plant that builds the LX platform (300/Charger/Magnum) is running full tilt. If they perhaps cut down on the volume of those cars maybe they can do it.

It has hood scoops! Didnt see that from the tiny pictures.
Steve- If DC is going to cut down on making a car, it's gonna be the Charger. I've read in different forums where Mopar fans bought the Charger because it was a Charger. It wasn't many, but it was some. These Mopar fans will now not even look at the Charger, and go straight to the Challenger. But then again, it wasn't many of them.

This really is disgusting... The new dodge Challenger..
Built on a shortened Chrysler 300/Dodge Charger chassis (116-inch wheelbase vs. 120 inches), the Challenger gets a 6.1-liter Hemi hooked to a six-speed manual transmission with a pistol grip shifter.
Not only does it look down right awsome, but they put a total package together to compliment it..
We all love Mustangs, but at some point you have got to take a stand at the weak hearted and spineless people at Ford who just wont pull the trigger on the Mustangs power..
Why are people at ford such big whimps when in comes to big power?

Like i said before i bet the Srt08 model with the 6.1L hemi will go against the gt500(charger srt-8 is priced at 38k), and the Rt will go against an SE mustang or a regular GT mustang. Thats what im thinking IMO.

True, but check other Fords vehicles against Mopars for example. Other than Mustang, all Mopar vehicles have more horsepower than Fords.

I assume you're referring to the 300C and Charger R/T. Yes, they have more horsepower but they're also very, very heavy. They need more horsepower to compensate for the weight.
