Is Chevy preparing a Z28 BOSS fighter?

To be honest, the F5 coming to market has been nothing but great for Mustangs fans, had it not showed up with a 426hp LS3 and a fairly refined package, Ford might not have responded with the 5.0, the M6 and the handling improvements? Then again, maybe Ford was looking for bigger fish to kill with the MY2011 Mustangs anyway.

Who know's for sure. These car rags are the same one who said the Camaro was comming out with a LS2, speculated on the ugly temp headlights and such.
The test shots all the mags have have been hinted at by someone not on F5 who has alot more working knowledge of whats going on at GM saying that it is not the Z28. He did point out that all of the test mules had certain stickers on them and hasn't said much else about it. From what I gather from what he hinted there are 2 cars in "possible" future developement and that the Camaro's V6 has more rated power than the CTS's and should be taken into account with the LSA's possible ratings as well. Just saying

IMO I think GM painted themselves into a corner when they called it the camaro. They should have changed the front and rear ends and called it the chevelle. Then made the camaro smaller. Now they are stuck with it and its way too big. Plus I don't think GM saw the 5.0 coming but ford knew the camaro was coming back, props to ford for planing ahead.

GM looks to be taking their time on this one. Making sure they`re going to get it right. That or they just started working on the Z/28 program when the Coyote came out because Camaro enthusiasts started to complain. By what i`ve seen it looks pretty composed and flat in the corners from the Norschleife videos and as we`ve seen a couple of months ago Chevrolet had bought some `11 GT500 SVT PPs to "compare" with the Maro, so i expect it to be pretty good. But if hey`re going to unveil it late this year I`m sure Ford will already have something up their sleeves by then. Either way, competition is progress.

Im really not into these high end cars but the Z28 is going to be heavy. There is no way around it. The two biggests gripes I have on the Camaro is weight and the god aweful dash. They screwed up before they even got started weight wise. Its hard to believe they let this happen. I mean seriously, they had a clean sheet of paper and screwed this up so bad that its unreal.
The Camaro is a nice car with a killer ls3 engine but its fat. YOu can bet the next one will address this issue. Even the Camaro faithful have screemed bloody murder about weight. I screamed at Ford for years for not having enough power and they finally listened.
Im sure the Z28 will be a nice deal but they just cant over come the weight issue in its current form. I would never buy one new or used because of this. Not to mention the initial quality problems. It was a botched up launch imo. Gm can add the power no doubt but maybe its just me but I dont get that impressed by those things any more. Give me a Boss 302 anyday. Now thats the real deal.
