This is a quote from a Vette owner I find interesting:
"...great car, biggest thorn in my side is that the front radiators get direct hits from road debris and after 10.000 miles of interstate driving, they look terrible, and your chief engineer states that this is only a cosmetic problem, but common sense differs , now you offer a shield screen for the two radiators for $500.00 THAT IS A VERY POOR RESPONSE FOR SOMETHING THAT SHOULD BE INCLUDED IN THE MANUFACTORING FOR ANY NEW C8..."
Looks like Chevrolet offers a Band-Aid as a solution. It is not difficult to conclude physical damage to the radiators can affect their performance by having a reduced ability to cool, far from being just a cosmetic problem. Also a shield might reduce the designed air flow to the radiators.

I might be beating a dead horse
"... owned the car for a few weeks. tons of cheap plastic noise from dash and door panels. seat stitching was inconsistent throughout and gearing felt mushy. felt like a quick company cash grab. this is not the true performance car living up to its legacy that we wanted..."

The one thing that all of us complain about is brake dust. I know an engineer that works for Ford that designs brake systems. As he said go anywhere else in the world and people with performance cars know that brake dust is a fact of life. This guy in the video has brake dust as #3 in his list of 5 complaints

Maybe one gets lucky or maybe not. The used C8s can run out of luck real quick.
- Comfort1.0: It is a sportscar not a limousine
- Interior design1.0: The design is good, its standard of quality is something else
- Performance1.0: It performs as advertised
- Value for the money1.0: You get what you pay for (see Ferrari for attention to details)
- Exterior styling1.0: It is pretty good, not perfect therefore it is not excellent
- Reliability1.0: That is its main concern

In that era plastic was the trend in the interiors with most American built cars although the interior design with the Tbird feels well-coordinated for my taste.

^^^ That really is just another excuse to have to bring your Corvette back to the dealership, especially when the battery dies. The electronics are really getting to be too much. I thought they were insane on my C6 and I can't imagine the constant issues with these new C8 models. The key in the fob for emergencies is the way to go and everyone knows it. Even my R/T has that.

The key can unlock the door which in turn allows for the hood handle (I suppose) to release the hood to be able to access the battery to be charged or replaced. The dumb thing is without trunk access by a key if the battery is dead there is no access to the engine.
On a positive note, it seems the problem with the '21 & '22 transmission problems have been resolved without having to replace it by updating the parameter settings associated with the shifts timing on the cars' computer. That's my take from several videos I have seen on the subject.

Well, I do like the Vette and hope its mayor problems have been solved. If so I might jump off the cliff and try to get one on the next MY.
I am thinking Coupe, 2LT, no Z51 or Mag Ride, meaning summer tires with some ext/int cosmetic upgrades. We'll see what happens.
