Did a Little Research on the Car. It Was Sold in March 04 With 20 Miles on it so Owner Had it and Only Put 40 Miles on it! That is when Warranty was Activated. Got a Battery & Door Panel Under Warranty. Door Panel Had Warped Early On! Probably Used as a Parade Car at Best!

That's good info. Was it located on Oasis or some other means?

I ask because I have always relied on vehicle history websites to get a notion mainly on how a car has been maintained and whether it has a salvaged title.

Who would have ever thought that we would be taking out some mortgages to buy our toys?? LOL
Some of these cars today, (mine included), are stupid expensive and definitely overpriced. I heard that many people have 4 digit auto loans these days. Crazy!

I love the 63-67's and The 68-72's Those are The Car's That Fueled my Love of Cars as a Youngster. I had Hot Wheels Versions Only! Tried to Swing a 64 in the Early 80's But Not in my Teen Budget at the Time.

I had a '68 with T-tops. I bought it used and soon after the car would turn off at times while driving mainly on right turns and it would take a while to get started again. Considering myself a very knowledgeable mechanic I proceeded to replace the 4-barrel, did a tune up, and replaced all ignition parts. No cigar. Long story short, I took it to a popular electrical repair shop, the estimate to isolate and repair was $300 or more, that likely equals $2K +/- with today's prices. He kept saying 'oh...CORVETTE! oh... CORVETTE! over and over. I bulked once the guy mentioned the word 'more'. I figured it was definitely going to be more.

About a week later which happened to be during rainy season the motor for the electric window went out, so I took it to a shop owned by a Hungarian who had emigrated to the U.S. 15 or 20 years before. While one of his techs was replacing the motor I struck a conversation with him and mentioned the other problem and asked him if he thought he could fix it. Within 5 minutes the guy comes to me and asked me if I would be willing to pay $8 dollars to solve the problem.

It turned out to be the "key" ignition switch had worn out contacts.

When it was time to pay the bill I gave him an extra $20 which he declined to accept, instead he told me to stop by the shop for a chat whenever I could spare the time.

1 COBRA thanks for the photo. I absolutely love the looks but I still would not have one in my garage. As I said earlier about Corvettes, 'been there, done that'. I shudder just thinking about taking a new one back to the dealership for the endless issues it will have. My last 'new' car was my now almost 3 year old R/T. Hopefully not jinxing myself but it has only seen the dealership for the oil changes. Once the warranty is over, zero trips to the dealership.

It is a fact new Vettes are selling even though many dealers keep them on their lots for months. It seems like whoever buys them figure their Vettes will be exempt from problems, wishful thinking can bring rude awakenings.

It also appears the more new Vettes are sold, the more use ones are in the market.

2017 EcoBoost Premium Convertible

2003 I bought a new Thunderbird for my wife. We loved that car. but it is not a really great car for the price. I only paid $31,000 new. I would still have it but for my medical condition and lack of space and money.
I had to sell the Thunderbird and my 2011 Cadillac CTS Coupe.
I needed a car for the wife to drive. the Thunderbird was too old to maintain, in both parts, and someone that knows how to fix a 20-year-old car. The Cadillac Coupe she can't see out of she is 4' 11" and the car has too many blind spots.

I Bought a 2017 Mustang Ecoboost, Premium, convertible. I have the Sync 2 package. It does not have the sync 3 package, I could not find one, and had a very short time to look.

I do not want to make changes to the car, it's just for the wife to use when I depart.
I did put on the gas-charged hood hold-up struts, additional LED light in the trunk, and deactivated the ANC Active Noise Control engine noise.
Washed, clay-bared, compounded, polished, and waxed. Coated the convertible top with Scotchgard so it is all black. New rear brakes and rotors. Tightened all the hose clamps and changed all the oils but the Differential. Painted all the calipers red. Tightened all the car's cross-brace mountings. Shampooed the interior. New spark plugs. New cabin air filter.
Next is to install new Michelin tires 233/45 R18 sport all season, with new TPM.
