Sometimes Mag publishers put out different covers for subscribers than retail. TVGuide does this all the time, I don't know why MT would do this, maybe I should go down to the corner store to check it out...

I know the covers are always slightly different to make room for the subscribers' mailing address and account info, but I don't remember MT ever making two cover photos. I wonder if the one on their site was an earlier version.

yeah, i noticed this in the store too. i've got a subscription, and my cover had the crazy focus on it, while i saw the 5 series and the sts on the cover at the store.
Its pretty weird. I wonder whether it was intentional or if they changed their minds. with the subscription, i guess they don't have to convince anyone to buy the magazine, whereas in the stores, they have to catch people's attention. which is why i would've thought it would've been the other way around, a 500hp focus gets a lot of attention....
but maybe only for crazy ford people like us...

It has happened a few times that I can remember. I think I may have a few with 2 covers. It has been a while, though. I remember the M/T cover switching in the '90's.
