I had a buddy that wouldn't touch anything he couldn't pay off in two years. Predictably he had what would be generously described as commuter transportation.

I gotta say the 2015 Challenger interior redo is nicer than the 2015 Mustang Interior redo

Different strokes for different folks, I guess. While I'm okay with each cars' respective exterior styling, their interiors are pretty much standard Dodge fare at the point, in my opinion. I much prefer the new Mustang's in that regard.

I'm really disliking the new charger, very ugly imo. But the challenger I've liked since it came back, very good looking car. I'd love to own one.

While I have a bit of criticism for both, I do think the Mustang's is the better overall design.

Criticisms:

Mustang: A bit fussy in some of the details, not quite as coordinated and cohesive as it should be. Fake stitching on center stack looks cheesy and, well, fake. The dash, center stack and center console look like they each came from a different design office that perhaps coordinated by Twitter posts.

Challenger: Nice but still a bit bland and generic (sedanish, which it is, sharing it with the Charger). A bit too soft and plump in some of its forms, but then, the Challenger's kind of a big boy to begin with.

Even though it looks like an upgraded Dart I surprisingly like the way the new Charger looks

Agreed, I don't particularly care for the way the dash with the faux engine turned appliqué divides it. It seems like the center stack should run all the way to the dash pad with the edges meeting the pods on either side (moving the center registers inward and dispensing with the two gauges)

Yes they are. 485 HP and 475 TQ. They have a SCAT PACK option as well and a SCAT PACK SHAKER package. 0-60 in the low 4's and low 12's in the 1/4 with the 8 speed automatic. NASSTTYYYY!!!!!
I'm really digging the new Challengers. I've always liked them, but these new designs, inside and out make me really want one. Blows the 2015 Mustang design out of the water, hands down, in my opinion.
The SRT 8 version is yet to be announced/released. That is rumored to be over 600HP and close to 600 TQ. NASSTYYY as well. Sounds really tasty to me. I'm not going to lie, I really wouldn't mind a SRT 8 version,...so who knows???
I'll have to see what the specs/options are and how numbers work out.

All of our insults that we threw at the LS1 "catfish face" in the late 90s-early Y2k are strategically being thrown back at us as we speak.

I really like the design. It was this very look - the combination of classy & modern that drew me into today's muscle cars in the first place.

The Chally interior is okay, but I see one hugely glaring issue. If you ever intend on having anything in the cupholders, you're gonna have to reach around your latte to shift. The interior is okay, but cheap looking.

Mustang has had that issue since the SN95s.

Really dig the challenger. It really represents it's past quite well.

The charger, on the other hand, took a big step back IMO. You could put a dart and a charger side by side, look directly at the front grill, and not be able to separate the two. Add in the fact that it has two extra doors, it really is unappealing as a true muscle car.

Exactly. That center console is ballsy as all heck.
I did see a picture of the HELLCAT engine on another forum, but not sure if it was a photoshop or not. (I'll have to do my research. )

...Saw an RT charger on my way home yesterday.

Long story short. The fat man driver saw me and He immediately sped up. He was about six cars ahead of me and For kicks, I decided to speed up to see how "quick I could catch him." (Not race) He saw this effort and floored it even more.

I hit 110ish in rush hour and said "forget his fat @ss." He was laughing at me so proudly at the next gridlock stop. I just smiled that made his day.

Let's see 5.7L with 370hp.
My old V6 3.7L with 305hp...one car seems like a waste of space? Lol

Point is, Charger is just one of those cars that is just lackluster in my opinion. Put it on a boat next to the new GTOs and ship them to a black hole ASAP.

Allpar is estimating 640-680 HP and 640ft/lb of torque! And they have a short video of some test runs, looks like on a Charger sounds pretty bad arsed.

The SRT8 is 50k +, I wonder what they'll charge for the Hellcat. Gotta think a 10k, maybe 15k extra.
