I picked up Ford's 5-20 Synthetic (Red Bottle) last week at a WALMART in Michigan. It was $9.99 in the 5 qt bottle.

It was $8.99 / litre + enviro fees. They never had any 5 litre bottles of the 5w20, just litre bottles, so I had to buy that.

As a comparison, I was used Royal purple in my previous oil change and it was $8.59.

 

Yah, pricey stuff. FYI, typically they come in 4L jugs. I know this because my old Ford Probe took 4 and a bit litres so I had to buy an extra bottle.

 

The red bottle in 5 quart at Walmart is synthetic blend here in Indiana and is $9.92 Motorcraft blend oil isn't Castrol. It is specially made for Ford and has a special "cracking" method that makes the molocules uniform. The Motorcraft oil filters are very good and probably Pure One.

 

They had 5W20 at the CT near me today. Only in the 1L form though.

 

Ya, I was at another crappy tire this weekend and saw they had it there now too, but again, only in the 1L containers.

Has anyone checked a walmart here yet? I wonder if they carry it now too?

 

Mobil 1 5w-20 now available at Walmart in the 5L jugs!!! in Canada. Woo-hoo, I have been waiting for months!! Same price as a 4.4L

There is a sale this month for Mobil 1 at Parts Source... I wonder if they have 5W20

 

Get this, the 5w-20 is CHEAPER than the 5w-30 or other weights. What gives?

Crappy Tire:
Mobil1 5W-30 $38.00 for only 4.4L???????????

Flyer says only 10W30 and 5W30 . I was at a Walmart in Ottawa yesterday, and they had loads and loads of the stuff. I'm going to check in the city sometime in the next couple weeks.
