I don't get insurances. I owned a 2000 GT vert that is approximatly valued at 16K and I called to see the price for a 2005 GT ... 30$ more .... a year !!! with 4 years of full value replacement (remise Ã* neuf).

So basically it is going to cost me 1005$ tax included with a $500 deductible (I lived in Montreal).

La Capitale rules

But still I don't get how they set their prices !!

The poor Canadian Insurance industry is really suffering. Last year's profit was only 4.2 BILLION dollars!

Please, sir, may I pay more?

Montrose,

Just another reason why I hate the current provincial government, where are these big premium rollbacks?

I am 25 with a clean record and the '05 will cost me $3000 a year, that is absolutely ridiculous.

I would support any government that would go to a public-based (sp?) insurance system like in Manitoba

I'm 36, and it cost me about 1100$ a year for an '05 GT with TD Insurance (previously Liberty Mutual).

I am not using it for going to work, cause I work from home.

I did some looking around and found some better rates. Kanetix.ca is a good resource, but I found one quote was better when I called directly.

RBC quotes $2850 for full year, depreciation $1000 deductible comp/collision

Still garbage rates

For all of you in Ontario, try Direct Protect. Drop "Jessica" an e-mail and tell her that Mark from the Hamilton Police Association has referred you. You won't qualify for our group rate but I know she's brought in a number of "friends" of the Association (ie referrals) with pretty good results. It's worth a shot. DP saved me $500 over what State Farm wanted to charge.

Let me know if she helps.

Mark

Edit by Galaxie: I took down her email so she doesn't get any junk mail. If anyone is interested, PM me or Mark.
