Angry

Well - I am pretty torqued... :bang:

I actually have a leak... my driver side carpet is wet under the floor mat.

I think the leak is coming through the bottom of the car - perhaps near the bottom of the firewall.. thats my guess.
The reason I think this is because when I wash the car - I spray out the wheel wells and clean them. When I did this earlier this week - during our 1 sunny afternoon I noticed the car fog up after I had sprayed the wheel wells out... and low and behold the driver side and passenger side carpets were damp...not soaked...Today - its pretty wet!

SO WATCH OUT for this - Its an insidious leak  - it didnt rear its head for 2500 miles.... This is not the first time I have washed the car ( about the 30th time) and I had driven in the rain several times....Never a problem until NOW!!!

So now I go to dry out my poor STANG.....

I have made an appointment and I am Taking it to Brien motors in everett on Monday - so its parked until then....

here is a picture of where the leak was - the cowling on the driver side was leaking. According to the leak guy - its been common on the 05 mustang.. he knew just where to look - took him less than 45 min to fix.

Brien motors fixed it and dried out the carpets... no Damage !!!
slight smell of silicon in the interior - which should go away as it sets..

Glad to hear you got your leak fixed, in a timely manner.

I haven't heard of any leaks being all that common on the 05 yet, but now I have something to look out for.

The same problem existed on the passenger side of mine when I got it. It was as easy to fix as you described.

Nick, I'm with AJC, any report on your intake?

Just popping in to ask about the leak issue. I just traded in my 2002 convertible for a 2005 coupe last week. I didn't think to check for leaks over the weekend !

Also, are there rallys or other events going on around the PS? I know the yellow mustang registry is having a rally in Vegas the first weekend in May, but that's a little bit of a drive...

Welcome, Lea!

This Saturday North Olympic Mustangs is putting on their "Mustangs and Cougars at the Courthouse." See link here

I went to the Mustangs Northwest meeting last weekend. A bunch of them are going. Should be fun!

See you out there!

Congrates on the car Lea and welcome to the forum.

On the intake, yeah I have been a bit sidetracked from moding the car lately. Still got the intake, in a box though which does me no good. I have been waiting for the Diablo tune for the JLT intake, that just came out today, as posted the tech performance threads. Kind of curious as to how it measures up against the SCT tune. I will most likely make a decision as soon as someone posts a dyno sheet of the Diablo/JLT combo.

I will be sure to post pics and hp #'s as soon as I get it on there.
