Okay - I have 92 octane gas stations all over.
I tried the 93 octane tune today and got pinging at 4500 rpms
had to regress back to 91 octane tune.. :bang:
I want that 93 tune - its awesome... Car just flew until I hit the pinging .... :bang: Dont get me wrong the 91 octane tune is great too... car flies. But...
I pulled over and retuned immediately... and as I did the retune in walmarts parking lot I got to watch a lexus and eclipse collide - OW...
SO - in the Everett, Marysville area - anyone know of gas stations carrying 93 octane gas?
Or preferably a chain that usually has 93 octane gas?

I've only seen 91 around Seattle. I installed the 93 tune, but dialed back the global spark advance to -5, and I'm running 89 octane. I had a little 87 in the tank at first, and got some pinging at mid-throttle on the way to the gas station, but with some gentle driving and time, the 89 started kicking in, and I don't get pinging any more. Can't wait to get it on the road tomorrow and see how it does, and definitely to see how it handles the course. Next week I will be changing the oil and putting in some Amsoil Synthetic, and I'm going to put on the underdrive pulley kit at the same time. After that, I've got to figure out what exhaust I want to go with. That should about do the performance mods for a while, then I'll start working on the body and suspension.
