Being up here in the mountains, and expecting my car around the middle of Feb - I'm hoping that the "Weather Gods' will get this out of their system and that we won't get our traditional late Winter blizzard

It's not looking good now, they are predicting either snow or sleet starting tonight and all through tomorrow. I'm going to get my errands done and then put the car in the garage.

 

We had some sleet and freezing rain but the roads are fine. You can do the speed limit if you want. There may be patchs of ice on the roads in spots so you need to keep an eye out for it. Other than that things are fine here.

Ok, I know i'm one of the younger ones here, but who else is upset in NoVA about 99.1 WHFS leaving? Not that I dont like DC101, but 99.1 was great. no more HFStival either

The tires are real good! Stickier compound, lower sidewall, wider tread.

I do not listen to music on the radio. That is why I have 40 hours of music in my cd player.

I listen to traffic reports on AM on occasion. Did not effect me.

Think the tires are going to be my second mod after I get the center of the hood painted black. They will come in handy up in the mountains. Hard to believe my car MAY be here in a couple of weeks.

What is your first mod?

 

Don't plan on doing alot of mods and those done will be more toward the performance/drivetrain related stuff but.....the center section of the hood I plan to have painted black. Something between a matte and semi-gloss.
Its going to probably be one of those things you either love or hate. The front of the hood which is painted is the same width as the grill.

If I did not get shelby stripes on mine, I would have blacked out the hood, like you are.

Thanks! Your dash looks good! I see you lost the HC trap. I am thinkng of doing likewise and adding a K&N filter. Was thinking of a CAI but with it being a first year model and facing possible warranty visits - think I will let things sort out for a year. Not sure the return on investment (C&L/$750) as of now is worth it. IF the 2nd to 3rd shifting is sloppy as some report, will look at a shifter and falling into the "old fart" category - will probably checkout Hurst. Looks like some more "weather" is coming.

Well the tax man is preventing me from getting a CAI. None of the local part stores have the KN in stock yet either.

Tax is a "four lettered word" minus one deduction. Not much of a storm, abut 1/4" of snow.

No - Not Yet. Dealer sent me an email Monday that it would be "any day". Hoping this week or weekend since rain is due I think Monday. We are having snow flurries with the sun out today.
