Hey Tom! Are you getting a new hood and a driveshaft?

I'm getting left in the dust here.

Hey Rich!

I installed a 3.5" Shaftmaster's shaft last month....

As far as a hood goes, I think I'm gonna do a 3d Carbon scoop instead.... cost is a big factor; the other being I'm not sure I'm really in love with any of the aftermarket hoods available. For a long time, I liked the C-series hood from Cervinis, and also the '67 GT500 hood from them. But man, $650 + paint = ~$1000 where as the painted 3d scoop is <$300.

He already has a Alum. shaft and he needs a new hood cause his old one has a hole in it and his new SC (Saleen) will get wet.

Ah, 1985....... what a year. E.T. was in theaters, the Buick Grand National came out, and Van Halen was riding high after "1984"....... boy, it's nice being older than somebody- STD, Darrell, Scott: I now know how you feel.

Thanks Cody!

Sorry, I should clarify- the events, dates, and times given in my previous post are not entirely accurate and were only stated to purposely afford me the "feeling" of being as old as some of the current forum members communicating within this thread...........

Here is a question for those that have changed their plugs. Will a standard 9/16 spark plug socket work on the HT styles plugs?

I had ordered the plugs from a place I found on the web for 79.00 inc shipping. They also suggested a specialty plug socket, I ordered it also. Took a week for them to figure out the plugs were out of stock. They e-mailed me about a refund through paypal and asked if I still wanted the socket. I thought h*** no if it takes you a week to process your orders then you don't need my money.

I really want to change these out to the HT0 before the 15th, need the colder plugs for the 100 shot.

Hey Ben,
I don't know the answers to your questions but I bet they will change them for you at Brenspeeds while they are doing your cams. They will have everything off and exposed anyway. Should be a piece of cake for them.

I just got done using a standard deep wall Craftman's socket and it worked fine. 9/16 is the proper size.

10 bucks a piece is about as cheap as I found them too.
