Little background on me. Ive got an 08 bullitt thats been my summer daily for the last 3 years. Ive autox'd for 6 years, 2 in an 01 cougar, 3 in a 99 cougar that is fully prepped for street mod fwd. Changed it up this season and co drove a 76 corolla. going to split next season between the corolla and the 99 coug

if youve got any questions feel free
Welcome and thanks for offering some help. I'm thinkin the Boss is the same one that ran with us at the Tire Rack on the Mustang day. He bested my best time by about 4 seconds.
In read some of the rules I see my helmet is outdates and plan on getting a 2010 dated one. Also I would like to see what class I would run in. I know its up to the mods I have and will probably go against some pretty good cars and drivers so basicly I'm just out to have some fun. I'll probably send my club dues next week. Are you interested in sponsing my application?

i would, but ive already got a lifetime membership to scca so it wont help me much. from what little nick told me youve got a saleen sc, and that puts your straight into SM (street modified).

the biggest thing to overcome in autox is the steep learning curve, and youre starting out with a lot of car

Ha Ha... I think if you are going racing Darrell you may need those to upgrade your car in the braking department.

2011 rules

Both SBR and INR are very down to earth and easy to get along with, competitive and helpful with new drivers

Morning to all you fellow midwest members and you to Tom.

I have a front sway bar that has 3 holes in it. When I install it I bolted it up to the middle hole. Which way would I want to go to make it better handling? The instructions didn't say a thing but it was a GMS product.

I don't know for sure but I would think the first hole would allow the most body roll (softest) and the third hole would be the (stiffest) or least body roll.

Well hope everybody is having a great day today. I know I aint. Today is the day of my Grandmothers funeral who passed away on Nov 3rd. She was an great woman. She is also the strongest woman that I know. She beat cancer when she was diagnosed back in 1998 and given around 6 months to live back then. The effects from the cancer treatments finally caught up to her and she passed in the hospital with my Grandfather and Uncle by her side. Its been a tough week since I wasnt able to go back stateside due to my own screw up at the beginning of the year. Plus other thigns happening at the same time she passed. She will always be in my heart and never forgotten. She will be with me everytime I go down the track also because I will have somethign of hers hanging inside the car with me. I know right now she is watching over me.

Very sorry for your loss Dirk. I know it has to be very tough being half way around the world at a time like this and not be able to make it home. Karen's and my prayers are with you in this tough time. And happy "V" day also.

dly,
The Ford Racing & Eibach sway bars were also the same. I had the Eibach on my 06. Center hole is 'neutral' the forward & aft locations would give you more understeer & more oversteer, but I don't remember which. It did not give you softer or firmer rates.
Had mine on the center & noticed a slight improvement over stock, the larger rear bar helped more that the larger front bar.

This is what I got back from BMR

Darrell, the further you move the bar inward, the tighter the bar becomes.

The middle hole is the general preference for the street/occasional track setting.

The hole closest to the front of the car, is the stiffest setting.

Thanks and please let me know if you have any other questions.

I am working on putting my stock mufflers back on, since the rattling/clanging/vibrating flowmaster has gotten unbearably loud.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hs7RvK28KhI

Only problem is there is so much rust around where the passenger side muffler meets the catback pipe, I can't get it to budge.. I've sprayed it with damñ near an entire can of pb blaster, banged on it with a hammer, and no matter which way i try to twist or bend that muffler, it won't move. POS. I've got the driver side stock muffler all reattached already.

You might have to cut if off as close as you can to the joint and then cut off the remaining thats left on the pipe. That is if you have the pipe to install the stock mufflers.

A week ago a nasty smell poped up in the truck. Like an old potato was rotten away. Search all week for it and found the source . The sub was bolted to the floor in the back seat and had a hole cut in the carpet for the bolt. I felt the carpet and it was dry but the under mat is soaked and stinky. Here is a posted I put on the Raptorz forum.

WOW, I went to the Dealership today to see if they could fix the problem. First this it not the Dealer were I purchase the truck but were my salesman ended up go to. They checked me in and something must have came up on his computer screen. I have a heavly modded mustang that I have only taken back in once for a fog light problem. Cuz he starts to check my muffler system (it's stock), next he opened the hood to see if I've added any thing like a CAI kit. I asked him why he was looking under the hood for a leak on the back side of the cab. No answer, then he says there will be a $99 fee just to look at the truck. I asked why it wasn't not covered under the warranty and then he said maybe it could be.
Walked around the lot for a hour and a half and I see a guy spraying water on my truck, so I go and talk to him. He's just washing it, it's done. The found the back brake light is leaking and will replace it (2nd time for this, 1st one burned out a LED). Also did the recall for the door spring that I was told takes 7 hours to do. Asked about the wet carpet and he says it will dry. What about the stink, he says it will go away. Ha I called BS and asked him why a wet towel still stinks after it drys. Oh the detail dept. has a special chemical to get rid of the smell, they just pour it in the carpet hole at the sub. I asked him if he though that the water just enter the light and transported it self to that 1 spot or do you think the carpet is wet from the back window all along the rear floor. That was the end of that. Talked to my salesman and had him smell the smell and will see what they do tomorrow when the light comes in.
