My dad died early this morning... He was doing something in the kitchen and collapsed... Unresponsive when I was doing the CPR and also unresponsive to the paramedics.

 

Very sorry Nick. I can't imagine witnessing it like that. My condolences to your family.

I thought I was going to lose my dad earlier this year, his diabetes started causing trouble again and he was in the hospital a few times, one of those trips was because he thought he was having a heart attack, but turned out to be a false alarm. Thankfully his doctors got things all worked out and he's doing just fine.

Nick, I am so very sorry to hear about your father. As hard as it is and even though it makes no sense now, just remember everything happens for a reason..... God bless you and yours.

 

I think I found a new job at another bus company, a competitor to First Student. They said they would call me early next week, seemed very interested in hiring me. The company is Septran and is located in Carol Stream, a little closer of a drive too.
