Well, I would work in the nude, but then my shaft would be getting in everyone's way.

I changed the oil and cabin filter in my car. If you have hood struts that mount on the bolt near the cowl, it is necessary to unbolt the bracket for the struts and use the prop rod to hold up the hood. I found that out right away. Oh well, it wasn't difficult to change the cabin filter, it's all good for a while.

Hey Justin and Chris thanks for the info on the cabin air filter. I will check mine out to see how dirty it is.

And STD. You said I was only half right about the pinion angle. After reading that article where am I half wrong at? If you are speaking of the race guys leaving the setup angles the same and not nosing the pinion angle downward than I simple just disagree with Joe Heck racing. Simply put the pinion angle will rotate upward under hard lauching. To the point the the driveshaft will slap the under side of the tunnel. I would think it would be more important to angle the pinion down on the race car but.....

The basic formula for determining the set start point for setting the angle of the Shaft! Its absolutely crucial to match the angle of the pinion flange to Transmission output flange ! then from that point go about 1 to 2 degrees beyond the trans flange measurement, 2 degrees for a common street set up as yours, the more appropriate setting for me would 1 to 1.5 degrees considering all the after market components I have! there is NO set angle for every application. the perferable track setting has been found to run TO flange at the same setting as the pinion flange ! Scott track guys are not running the sloppy suspension components that come from the factory! Considering Joe Amotto has had more track wins than most guys have had orgasms he might have some insight in to it!

How much rain have you gotten over there? We have had 3.25 inches as of 5 am this morning and are supposed to get 1-2 more today. The Dayton area has 4 rivers running thru it Little Miami, Great Miami, Mad River and the Stillwater River. They are all forcast to go over flood stage about 7 pm tonight. Glad I live on a hill. It's bad around here.

I know all that snow melting didn't help much out there either, all that water needs to go somewhere. I drove the Escort through a few huge puddles in the road when all the snow here was melting. It's just about all gone now though.
