Well... for the second year in a row.. AAI is one of the major sponsors of this years 6th annual Cruising Downriver event.

The cruise is on Sat, June 25th, 2005. Route: Fort St. from Sibley Road to Outer Drive.

As anyone remembers last years... when AAI was the title sponsor.. they had employees from AAI driving the pre-production 2005 Mustangs up and down Fort Street and I snapped a bunch of pics that day

This year, with the car being out on the market.. we can expect to see some great mods and hopefully some more info about future Mustangs

The main area to be in.. is in Southgate, near Southgate Ford, KMart and White Castles.. with across the street, Lincoln/Mercury dealership, Saturn of Southgate and Meijers.

http://www.cruisindownriver.com/Default.asp

I'll post more info about the cruise later on. Parking is free at most places... unlike the Woodward Dream Cruise.. where one parking spot could cost you $50.

The weather is very clear, no rain all day, my wife and I will attend, but we will only be bringing my Cobra. This would be my first time cruisin Downriver. Very easy to spot me. Crystal White with topside Black and Blue Pearl stripes and airbrushed Snake on Hood and under the Hood. SVO side exhaust. Stop and say Hello.

I'll be on the look out for you Bruce.

By any chance... do you go to Wild Woody's out in Roseville? The car you describe sounds like one I remember seeing in the lot last summer.

Here's my ride.

I only went to W W's once last year, I think it was in late May or June.

D R I'm told there is a K-Mart with a McDonald's at the southern end of cruise. Group is planning on parking there as of this evening.

That is the main area to be... TONS of cars in the Kmart parking and the Meijer parking across the street. It'll be packed with other car clubs... and poor customers trying to shop hahaha. Depending on the size of the group.. you guys might not be able to park together.

I have no clue where I'm parking at.. just where ever someone has a spot at... I'll probably be driving around most of the time.

Dam, the forecast is 95 degrees with a 40% chance of Thunder Storms all afternoon and evening. So no way will I or 4 of my friends take our cars 45 miles from home with that forecast. Plus there is this large gray area between us. So surface roads are out of the question.

Was really looking forward to going this year. Last year I believe was a clear day, but my wife had to work so I did not go. This year she scheduled the day off. Bummer.

It was nice out last year. Hot, but with a breeze.

I know.. I can't find too many of my friends that are going. A couple of them have to go to work at 3pm.. some just can't go.. and others never leave the state of Ohio to go anywhere.

I'm bummin I still go though.. the rain doesn't bother me. Sure, it's gonna make me a lil upset since I spent over 4 hours detailing him yesterday.

Now planning on going to see the cruise, but not taking either Stang. Can't no way chance the rain. Its not the rain it self its the dirt on roads. People just do not understand how completely clean these two cars are. And traveling home has a big area that I would not want to stop and wait for roads to dry.

I will still go to same location as above, friends and family will have cars there.

Just got in from downriver cruise. They have a 07 Shelby at Southgate Ford and are driving it around. It is amazing. Burned a little rubber in front of Kmart. You can not miss it, yellow with the body just like the pics. Had the hood with vents however the vents are removed.

Did not bring a Mustang out. There was a lot of rain just south of home early evening, so it was better I did not.

I walked through the Ford lot, (alot of other Fords) although it was so hot that all I was really looking for was the Shelby.
